The main electrolytes in body water outside cells are sodium and chloride, whereas within cells it is potassium and other phosphates. The content, acidity and composition of the water inside and outside cells is carefully maintained. This is made up of about 19 litres (4.2 imp gal 5.0 US gal) of extracellular fluid including about 3.2 litres (0.70 imp gal 0.85 US gal) of blood plasma and about 8.4 litres (1.8 imp gal 2.2 US gal) of interstitial fluid, and about 23 litres (5.1 imp gal 6.1 US gal) of fluid inside cells. The adult male body is about 60% water for a total water content of some 42 litres (9.2 imp gal 11 US gal). These elements reside in trillions of cells and non-cellular components of the body. The human body is composed of elements including hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, calcium and phosphorus. Trace elements are less than 1% combined (and each less than 0.1%). Main article: Composition of the human body Elements of the human body by mass. The body is studied by health professionals, physiologists, anatomists, and artists to assist them in their work. Many systems and mechanisms interact in order to maintain homeostasis, with safe levels of substances such as sugar and oxygen in the blood. Physiology focuses on the systems and organs of the human body and their functions. The body varies anatomically in known ways. The study of the human body involves anatomy, physiology, histology and embryology. It comprises a head, hair, neck, trunk (which includes the thorax and abdomen), arms and hands, legs and feet. They ensure homeostasis and the viability of the human body. It is composed of many different types of cells that together create tissues and subsequently organ systems. The human body is the structure of a human being. Naturally-occurring pubic, body, and facial hair has been deliberately removed to show anatomy. Contrary to popular belief, the challenge isn’t really to write an entire novel in a month-it’s to write 50,000 words of a novel, which is not a whole lot less difficult. NaNoWriMo is perhaps the best-known writing challenge, and it’s a doozy. They enter the month as elementary school teachers, mechanics, or stay-at-home parents. Now, each year on November 1, hundreds of thousands of people around the world begin to write, determined to end the month with 50,000 words of a brand new novel. “National Novel Writing Month began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel in thirty days. Here are Nine Writing Challenges to Enter: 1. And lucky for you, we’ve compiled a list of some writing challenges you can participate in! If you’re looking to try something new, power through a difficult draft, or just crank out words, writing challenges might be worth checking out. The momentum might not last forever, but you don’t need it to! The goal is to have fun and make something. You get to stay in the comfort of your own home, but you’re meeting people online, you’re working on a new project, and the whole enterprise has that fun, novel feeling you get at summer camp. What more could you need?įor me, personally, writing challenges often feel a little bit like writing camp. You can flex your writing muscles, maybe try something new, and have some fellow participants to commiserate with. Of course, you don’t need to write every single day to be a “real” writer, but just like athletes do marathons, writers can get a lot out of a good challenge. Writing challenges also encourage writers to practice, often every day. This sense of community helps writers amp each other up-it’s a team dynamic we don’t often get to experience as writers, and it can make the world of difference powering through a first draft or a difficult round of revisions. First and foremost, they connect a participant to a community of writers participating in the same challenge. Writing challenges do a few excellent things for their participants. If there isn’t a prize, why should you bother? Why Should I Try a Writing Challenge? They’re challenges created for writers with the intent of getting writers to, well, write! These aren’t writing contests-there often isn’t a cash prize or publication prize for people who participate in writing challenges. Writing challenges are exactly what they sound like. It can feel a little like getting stranded, and it’s no wonder some writers jump ship on their projects.īut it doesn’t need to be so lonely, nor does it need to be boring! Participating in a writing challenge might be your ticket out of that sticky spot. Sometimes we fall into a formula when we write books, or we can’t get ourselves past the first few chapters of an idea, or we’re stuck in the dreaded middle section of our novel for what feels like forever. Writing can get kind of lonely sometimes. Once on stage, the fans start doing the fingertip kiss, forcing Christopher to change his mind and do it in return. Bill asks Christopher to stop doing the fingertip kiss gesture because that annoys the lead singer Tom Staton. Kelly Ann realizes that Reg is a benefactor of “WWPD” T-shirts, as he confronts her assuming she is the one who tries to get him fired. She meets the songwriter and guitarist Christopher House for the set list, but ends up ranting about raisins, which somehow inspires him to fire Reg. Shelli assigns Kelly Ann with running the teleprompter. Despite Bill’s attempt to fill Phil’s shoes, he proves unsuccessful. Wearing “What Would Phil Do?” T-shirts, the crew suffers after Phil’s firing. Bill gathers up with the roadies for the ritual morning circle that’s traditionally run by Phil. Reg informs both managers about his decision to cut one member off and that he needs to interview each crew member to decide. Shelli and Bill argue over the firecracker and whether it was intentional or accidental. She runs back to the building and decides to stay on tour.Īfter a disastrous opening show in New Orleans, the band crew heads to Memphis. At the end of an emotional day, Kelly remembers the film she made that features movie characters experiencing a detour moment in their lives and running back to save it. Kelly chases her on a skateboard and gets it back. There, Natalie snatches the microphone that Bruce Springsteen used in Dancing in the Dark video. She finds her in the band’s dressing room. She overhears Natalie Shayne, a fanatical groupie banned from the band's performances, is in the building and decides to take her down once and for all. As she’s set to leave, Kelly Ann receives a warm goodbye from Bill and the crew. He informs Phil, a member of the band’s organization who has caused legal troubles, that the manager Preston wants to ditch him. Reg Whitehead, a British financial advisor, arrives on set. As preparations get underway, the band arrives for rehearsals but the stage is not ready yet. Kelly Ann Mason (a lighting rigger) decides to leave work and join a film school. But when there is an object/obstacle in front of TCRT5000, LED1 glows and, at the same time, the water pump is switched on and water flows out from the tap. Initially, when there is no object such as a hand or pet in front of TCRT5000, LED1 remains off and no water flows out as the water pump also remains off. 2: Circuit diagram of the automatic water dispenser It is built around tone decoder NE567 (IC1), optical reflective sensor TCRT5000L (OS1), two 1N4007 rectifier diodes (D1 and D2), two transistors S8050 and S8550 (T1 and T2), and a few other components. The circuit diagram of the automatic water dispenser is shown in Fig. Circuit and working of automatic water dispenser Nevertheless, the driver circuitry can be replaced with a low-current 5V relay because IC1 can merrily source current up to 100mA. So, the VBE of T2 becomes 0V (5.3–5.3=0) and keeps T2 and M1 dead off. Since the transistor switches the high voltage on and off (instead of ground), the setup provides a good return path when the water pump motor is turned off, and hence there’s not much undesired electromagnetic interference (EMI).įurther, when the output of IC1 goes high (idle state), the base resistor (R7) of T2 is floating. Here, S8550 pnp transistor (T2) is used as a high-side switch to drive the water pump motor (M1). Fortunately, we can prevent such a mishap by adding a mini float switch to the wiring of the water pump. Make sure that the water level is always higher than the motor as dry run will damage the water pump motor in a flash. (It is recommended to use a prime version water pump for a permanent fixture.) Just attach a small rubber/silicone hose to the motor outlet, and submerge it in water to run it. Water pump driverĪny 3-6V water pump motor should work with this little driver built around transistor T2. The next key component is the compact TCRT5000L reflective sensor, which includes a 950nm IR emitter and phototransistor in a leaded package that blocks visible light. The bandwidth centre frequency and output delay are independently set using just four external components. Its primary function is to drive a load whenever a sustained frequency within its detection band is present at the self-biased input. This tone and frequency decoder is a highly stable phase-locked loop (PLL) with synchronous AM lock detection and power output circuitry. To keep the complexity and cost within limits, a reliable IR proximity sensor has been developed with the help of a PLL tone decoder IC NE567. These sensors should be covered partially to prevent erroneous operation. You also have to properly mount the sensors so that these are not exposed to strong sunlight/ambient light. While industrial-grade sensors are extremely efficient, most readymade pre-wired sensor modules are prone to iterated false triggering, which badly affects the intended performance. The use of an IR proximity sensor is a practical way to build an automatic water dispenser. Also, there is a power supply block that holds a couple of standard dry cells. The system consists of three key segments: infrared (IR) proximity sensor, water pump driver, and mini submersible water pump. The presented system also offers many possibilities for extensions. It is a portable general-purpose automatic water dispenser perfectly suitable for homes to wash hands or feed water to pets. So, a relatively low-cost do-it-yourself solution is presented here. A branded automatic water dispenser is usually expensive. Try it!Įxactly! Don't reward such people & their rude behavior by even acknowledging that they are present or exist! Once they realize that they are not getting the attention they want, they slink away to find another hole. It really does go great with the Pork Tenderloin. I'm sure it would be a 4 forker with the use of pineapple! Wonderful! The sweet and the pungent together are such a compliment to savory meats like pork. I am allergic to pineapple so I substituted mango. I wasn't sure how it would turn out with the substitutions, but I'm so glad I tried it because it was just great and very easy. I pureed about a quarter of the salsa, and instead of red jalopenos I used green (again, could not find). I could not find Aji Amarillo paste, so I used tomato paste which I flavored with Ancho pepper spice. Next time, I want to omit the cilantro and chilies and only use one type of onion. I believe toned down this salsa would be a keeper as some of the flavors do go well with "pork tenderloin churrasco". The cilantro and raw onion make this smell like dirty dish water. In reality, this salsa is too spicy and has too many ingredients. I've tried it with pork, but I prefer it with chicken fajitas. I have never been able to find the aji amarillo paste (and I've made this many times), but it is still very good without it. The song is written in C minor with a tempo of 138 beats per minute. Much like the other two services, YouTube creates custom playlists combining users' top artists, albums, and songs from 2022, and can show you your "music personality" and personalized cards and graphics showcasing your top listening trends. Unlike its 2018 attempt with YouTube Rewind, YouTube Music recap allows users to get seasonal round-ups all year long, though its 2022 Recap encapsulates users' listening habits over the entire year. On the same day that Apple Music dropped its Replay, YouTube Music released its 2022 Recap feature, another end-of-the-year summary for those who use the platform. Bad Bunny was named Apple Music's 2022 Artist of the Year. "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from Disney's Encantotopped the Most Read Lyrics chart, and "Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)" by Elton John and Dua Lipa was front and center on the Shazam chart, which tracked which songs were searched on Shazam the most. Like Spotify Wrapped, Apple Music also released its end-of-the-year listening data, sharing that The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber's "Stay" was number one on the global song chart in 2022 on Apple Music. On the Replay, fans that are in the top 100 of an artist or genre will be able to see their standing, and users can track changes in their listening habits from now until December 31st. On Tuesday, the streaming service released the Replay, where users can find a personalized highlight reel of their top songs, artists, genres, and total minutes listened on the platform's website, just like Spotify.Īpple Music Replay received a major update this year as well, having launched in 2019 as custom-made playlists for its users, but not showcasing much more than that. Much like Spotify Wrapped, Apple Music has revealed its Replay experience, which Axios named a "direct competitor to Wrapped." Users are able to access their Wrapped experience on the Spotify app and share their personalized music data with friends on social media, and the recap has become a widely popular subject of discussion when it comes out, so it is no surprise that other streaming services have also developed ways of sharing their users' listening habits. Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny has also become the first artist to top Spotify's most-streamed artist list three years in a row. In the second and third spots are "Heat Waves" by Glass Animals and for the second year running, "STAY (with Justin Bieber)" by The Kid LAROI.
